The soil of the Tenuta di Calamoni is rich in marine fossils and fish skeletons that have settled over millennia. The extraordinary peculiarity of the terroir, where the quaternary biocalcarenite plays a fundamental role, gives the wine intense savory notes that, together with elegant scents of Mediterranean scrub make it a unique and unrepeatable red, comparable to a large Pinot Nero. It represents the highest exaltation of the vines that grow in sandy soils, of a calcareous nature and characterized by rocky outcrops of tuff and pink sand, and therefore of high gustatory quality. The sea breeze is a faithful companion of the berries, which bring to the wine a distinctive savory and lively imprint.
