Perricone

Typical vine of western Sicily where it has been cultivated since time immemorial. Vigorous plant, medium-sized leaf, cylindrical or pyramidal cluster, medium-sized berries with pruinose, thick and leathery skin of dark blue tending to black. Average maturation. Vinified in purity from a more or less intense ruby red wine, vinous odor, medium-bodied, fairly tannic, overall harmonious, ready to be consumed.

Cultivated to a limited extent in the provinces of Palermo and Trapani; it is also present in the provinces of Agrigento and Messina.
