The Rosso del Conte Tasca d'Almerita, born in 1970, is the first expression of great quality and longevity produced in Sicily. Wanted and created by Count Giuseppe, it expresses the characteristics of the Regaleali estate. At the origins, a Perricone and a Nero d'Avola, grown as a sapling in the San Lucio vineyard. Its history is long and made up of numerous evolutions including different types of aging (large chestnut barrels from 1970 to 1987, large Slavonian oak barrels until 1991 and later tonneau and French oak barrels). It was the first wine from Vigna Unica in Sicily.
