Duca Enrico Duca di Salaparuta is the first 100% Nero d'Avola in the history of Sicilian wines. Produced for the first time in 1984, the idea of this noble wine originates in the desire to create a great red wine, capable of combining with the highest qualitative expressions in the international oenological field. Duca Enrico is a wine full of charm, which comes only from some very selected vineyards on the Estate of Suor Marchesa, on the hills of Riesi. Here the soil, rich in limestone, and the Mediterranean climate, dry and ventilated, offer an ecosystem in perfect balance. The grapes, harvested at advanced maturation, determine the full structure of this product and give it great longevity. Its evolution for 18 months in oak barrels then gives it complexity and style, while aging in glass for at least a year completes its organoleptic qualities, enhancing its characteristic bouquet with aristocratic scents.
