Lying on the northern slope of Mount Etna, between 650 and 780 meters, the company owns 15 hectares of vineyards, framed by hazel groves and olive groves. In 2005 Giuseppe Russo renews it, giving it the name of his father and preserving the legacy of this native family of Passopisciaro, one of the villages at the center of the rebirth of the great red wines of Etna. Giuseppe and his collaborators cultivate the vines in an organic regime, according to the country tradition: the one that allowed old vineyards even a century to reach until today. And so the ancient sapling plants, together with the new rows, are processed mainly by hand: short pruning, plowing, hoeing, binding, sulfur and copper. In October, during the harvest, the grapes are carefully selected and the different districts are vinified separately, each extraordinarily rich in aromas, colors and vibrations. To imprison the soul of each of them in individual wines.
