Classification: Moscato Passito di Pantelleria D.O.C Area of production: countryside Mueggen, island of Pantelleria (Tp). Climate: temperate Mediterranean, humid, windy all year long. Terrain: volcanic, rich in minerals and silicates. Grape Variety: Zibibbo 100% grown as alberello (free standing bush) very low in hollow terrain to protect it from the wind. Density of implantation: 4,000 vinestocks per hectare. Grapes yield per hectare: 55 q. Age of vineyards: 100 years, in part with vines "franco di piede" (ungrafted). Vinification: the grapes, harvested at the end of September, are vinified in red with long maceration of the must with the skins in 52-hectoliter oak casks. Maturation: after malolactic fermentation, the wine matures in small casks (225 liters) for more than one year. Refining: in bottle for at least 12 months. Organoleptic characteristics: - Color: golden yellow with tints of amber. - Scent: fragrant of dried raisin, with nuances of dried figs and spices - Taste: balanced, aromatic and intense. Alcoholic content: 14-15 % by VOL. Serving temperature: lightly cool. Duration: it maintains its organoleptic characteristics for many years.
